Copies from the Vestry Minute Book into this by Archdeacons Directions given the 30th October 1854
March 18th 1854.  At a meeting held at Hanham Abbots pursuant to the following notice:
Notice is hereby given that the annual vestry meeting will be held in the Old Church, Hanham Abbots on Tuesday 18th Inst at 10 o’clock in the forenoon for the purpose of examining the accounts of the Church warden for the past year, to consider at what sum within the pound a new church rate shall be figured, to examine the in and out door list of paupers, also to nominate and elect churchwardens for the year ensuing and for other business, Hanham April 6th 1854.

The accounts of the churchwardens for the past year were examined and passed.  The in and out door lists of paupers were examined.  Resolved that a rate of one shilling and six pence in the pound and that the churchwardens are hereby directed to carry out the necessary repairs in the Old Church in accordance with the Archdeacons directions to an amount not exceeding one hundred and seventy pounds, in addition to certain alterations on the pewing to be paid by voluntary subscription.


Resolved that Thos. White Esq. on the nomination of the incumbent and W A H Henry on the nomination of the parishioners to be churchwardens for the ensuing year.
