The Examination of James WILLIAMS, Coppersmith , now residing in the Hamlet of Bitton in the said County. Taken on Oath this 9th (day) of November 1768 before two of his Majesty's Justices of the Peace for the said County.
Who says that he was born in the Parish of Saint Thomas in the Town of Pensford in the County of Somerset as he has been informed. That this Examinant has gained no Settlement of himself but that the Settlement of this Examinants Father Robert WILLIAMS, who now lives in the Parish of Siston in the said County of Gloucester, is in the parish of Stanton Drew in the said County of Somerset as he has been informed, and believes, by being an apprentice there. This Examinant above of five weeks since was married In the Parish Church of Bitton to his present wife whose name was Sarah HASFORD?
