My GGG Grandfather Daniel FLOOK was born about 1780 supposedly in Bitton. I am told that his parents were Aaron FLOOK and Hannah PRATTEN who married in 1769 at St George, but can find no suitable baptism anywhere or other evidence to connect him.
Daniel married Hester FLOOK in 1802 at St George and I am descended from their daughter Hester who married Robert COX at Bitton in 1832. Daniel's wife Hester died sometime between 1809 and 1816 because he married Sarah DEMMERY in 1816 in St George. Daniel was a "leather seller" and lived mainly in Kingswood and when he died in 1855 he was buried in Kingswood churchyard.
