He was baptized on 15th. February 1807 at St. Anne's, Siston. Thomas was a cordwainer. His wife Dorcas was the daughter of James and Sarah BUSH. She was baptized on 29th. March 1807 at Hanham. In 1851, Thomas and Dorcas lived at North Common, Bitton. Here is a photo of Edwin and Tabitha JEFFERIES. Maureen I am trying to trace information on my GGgrandfather who I believe was called Josiah JEFFERIES. He was born in Bitton in 1813 and married Martha, also of Bitton. He was the father of my great grandfather Tom JEFFERIES born in 1858. He also had a son Edwin who was born in Hyderabad East Indies in1848. |

In the 1851 census Daniel PALMER and his wife Ann have in their household a grandson Albert JEFFRISS (sic) aged 3 months born Bitton. Ann was the widow PAYNE when she married Daniel PALMER, and two of her sons Joseph aged 19 & Samuel PAYNE aged 14, both coalminers, are also in the house.
I cannot find Ann's previous husband as she was stated to be a widow in the 1841 census. Does anyone know who her first husband was, and also her maiden name please? Also, was Albert JEFFRIES a grandson of Daniel PALMER or of Ann PAYNE?
