In the Name of God Amen. I Ann BARNS of the parish of Bitton in the County of Gloucester Widow. Being aged but God be praised of sound and disposing mind memory and understanding do make this my last will and testament as follows.

First I give to my daughter Mary the wife of Benjamin TUCKER all my wearing apparel whatsoever

Also I give to my granddaughter Ann TUCKER Thirty Pounds of lawfull British Money to be paid at he age of twenty one years by my executor herinafter named with Interest for the same after the rate of four pounds for one hundred pounds by the year from the time of my decease to be also paid by my executor. But if my said Granddaughter shall happen to die under the age of twenty one years then I give the said principle sum or legacy of thirty pounds to my said daughter Mary TUCKER to be paid to her within three months after the decease of my said Granddaughter and will that the interest therof shall **** into my residuary estate.

All the residue and remainder of my money goods chattels and estate whatsoever that I shall to anyways be possessed of interested or entitled unto at the time of my deceased My debts legacies I give and bequeath all unto David BARNES of the parish of Bitton aforesaid Yeoman whom I make and constitute sole Executor of this my last will and testament

In witness *** I have to this my last will and testament set my hand and seal this thirtieth day of September in the year of our Lord one Thousand Seven Hundred and fifty Five. The mark of X Ann BARNES

To the Reverend John Davies and Thomas Johnes Clerks Greeting We do hereby commit our power and authority to you p**** and revocally(in whose fidelity we confer to receive the corporal oath of David BARNES son and Executor name in the last will and testament of Ann BARNES late of the parish of Bitton in the County and Diocese of Gloucester Widow deceased = and faithfully to administer all and singular the goods rights and credits of the said deceased and also to exhibit in January and render an account according to the term of the under written oath. Etc. dated 17th May 1771

The Oath
David BARNES you shall swear that you believe the paper writing hereunto annexed contain the last will and testament of Ann BARNES late of the Parish of Bitton widow deceased. That you are the lawfull and natural son ("grand" has been inserted above son "grandson"?) and sole executor therein named that you will well and faithfully administer to the said will by paying her debtors and legacies so far as her goods and rights and credits will *** and the law **** that you will exhibit an ****** and render an account of your administration into the registry of the Lord ***** Gloucester when you shall be thereto lawfully required So help me god Kiss the book

The eighth day of June 1771 The above named David BARNES was duly sworn according to the term of the above administration.
