I Abraham BATEMAN of the parish of Wick & Abson in the county of Gloucester yeoman give the following instructions for my last will and testament and desire the same to be taken as and for my last will and testament until a more formal testament shall be prepared or in default of the same.
I give and bequeath all and singular my farming stock household goods implements of husbandry and all my other goods and chattels credits securities monies and other effects to my wife Anna BATEMAN to hold to her the said Anna BATEMAN her executors administrators and assigns as her and their own property and I hereby revoke all former wills by me at any time ... made and appoint my said wife sole executrix of this my said will and testament In witness whereof I the said Abraham BATEMAN have to this my said will and testament affixed my hand and seal this tenth day of October in the year of Our Lord one thousand eight hundred and twenty

This Abraham was the son of Thomas = Ann nee CHAMBERS. born 1758 and baptised 2.9.1759 Wick & Abson. His wife was Anna WILLIAMS and they married 9.2.1784 Wick & Abson. Abraham died 19.3.1836 aged 78 and in his grave are buried Thomas his son born 1801 and died 26.6.1856 aged 55 and Elizabeth Ovens Bateman died 13.7.1836 aged 16.
