I John COSTER of Truro in the County of Cornwall do make my last Will this Thirtieth day of July 1728 in manner following Imprimis I give to my dearly beloved mother Mary COSTER for her natural life thereunto of my house on the Colledge Greene in Bristoll and the unto Of my two houses in Cow Lane Item I give to my Neice Jenny COSTER one hundred pounds Item I give unto my Neices Ann Jenny Elizabeth and Penelope STOUGHTON [note: know Elizabeth's daughters were Jane, Elizabeth and Penelope from other documents] or such of them as that attain the age of twenty one years ffiftie pounds each to be paid ^of them^
Item I give to my cousin Elizabeth COSTER fifty pounds to be paid her within twelve months after my decease. Item I give to Mary PEARCE Twenty five pounds to be paid her within twelve months after my decease Item all the stock and interest which I have in Company or partnership with my mother and brothers Thomas and Robert COSTER and by deed of partnership bearing each the sixteenth day of September 1725 and duly appointed between the above mentioned Mary Thomas and Robert COSTER and myself together with all the profits which shall arise from these both by trade and Succession I give equally to and between my dearly beloved brothers Thomas and Robert COSTER during their natural lives and if either of them shall dye without issue I make them the whole to descend and come unto the other the survivor during his naturall life and in default of issue Male in both then to the daughters of both of them in equall proportions and in default of daughters then to the daughter of one of them. And in default of any sonns or son daughters or daughter of my brothers Thomas and Robert then to the daughters of my sister Eugenia the wife of George STOUGHTON of Warwick Esq.
Item my house on the Colledge Greene in Bristoll and my two Houses in Cowland aforesaid after the demise of my deare mother I give to my dearly beloved brother Thomas COSTER during his naturall life and his sonns after him But if he shall dye without issue male then to descend to my brother Robert and his heirs male In default thereof to the eldest daughter of Thomas COSTER if no child living of his then to the eldest daughter of Robert COSTER and in default theorof to the eldest daughter of George STOUGHTON Esq
Item I give to my brother Robert all my house goods at Truro with the lease of the house and gardens there until such time as the Lady Penelope PENDARVAS of Pendaroes in the County of Cornwall or my brother Robert COSTER shall dye and whensoever the first of these shall happen then the house goods and leases of the gardens there shall come unto my brother Thomas COSTER if he shall be then living otherwise shall descend to the issue of Robert COSTER
Item I do appoint make and ordain my dearly beloved brother Thomas COSTER my executor of this my last will and Testament And all other my stock in Brass shares mortgages moity owing Shipps and Merchandise and any other Effects whatsoever ^which^ shall belong to me after my debts and the above legacies and my ffuneral charges shall be paid I give to him my dearly beloved brother Thomas COSTER his heirs and assigns forever It is my desire that if I dye in the County of Gloucester I may be interred near my father's grave.
