In the Name of God Amen I Robert COSTER of Pendarves in the Parish of
Camborn in the County of Cornwall ESQR but now in the city of Bristoll being
Weak in Body but of Sound and Disposing Memory and Understanding Do this Twenty
Seventh Day of March In the Year of our Lord 1736 make this my Last Will and
Testament in manner following
That is to say Whereas Sr William PENDARVES late of Pendarves aforesaid
Knight, did by his Last Will and Testament make my Dear Wife and his Sister Grace
COSTER sole Executrix By Virtue thereof I am become entitled unto an
Estate held under the Duke of Cornwall called Bradrige with the staff and
Household goods there and also unto a house at St Colomb and Sundry Parts of
Mines and Tin Bounds and other Matters and things in the County of Cornwall or
elsewhere
Now I do by this my Will Give Devise and Bequeath Unto my Said Loving Wife the
said Grace COSTER all and singular the said Estates Mines and Tinn
Bounds and all other Matters and Things that may arise or become due from the
Personal Estate of the said Sr William PENDARVES deceased To hold to
her my said Wife her Executors Administrators and assigns for all my Estate
Term and Terms and Interest therein or thereunto Respectively Subject
nevertheless to the Payment and Discharging of all the Debts of the said Sr
William PENDARVES Deceased and particularly what's due from Him to Me and
Whereas my said Wife is also Executrix of the Last Will and Testament of Mrs
Grace PENDARVES her mother By Virtue whereof I am Entitled unto Divers
Matters and Things the personal Estate of the said Mrs PENDARVES Deceased Now I do hereby Give Devise and bequeath unto my said Wife Grace
COSTER all my Estate Right Title and Interest to Such personal Estate of
the said Mrs PENDARVES Deceased To Hold to Her Executors Adminors and
assigns Subject to the payments of the Debts of the said Mrs PENDARVES deceased and Whereas upon and before my Future marriage with my said Wife and
in consideration of Two Thousand pounds by Me received as and for her Marriage
portion I did agree to Settle upon her my said Wife Lands and Tenements of the
Yearly Value of Two hundred pounds per ann Which I have not yet done
Now therefore my Will and desire is That my said wife Grace COSTER do
and shall within One Year after my death release such agreement and the Lands
and Tenements and all Sums and Sums of Money so agreed to be settled on her as
aforesaid unto my Executor hereinafter named from the payment of the said Sum
of Two Hundred pounds per annum and all Sum and Sums of Money on payment to her on
the Sum of Two Thousand Pounds of Lawful British Money by my Executor
hereinafter named and in such case only I do hereby give devise and bequeath
unto my said Wife Grace the said sum of Two Thousand pounds to be paid
to her within Twelve Months next after my decease accordingly
and I do also give devise and bequeath unto her my said Wife the clear Yearly
Rent Charges or Sum of One Hundred Pounds of Lawful British Money for and
during the Term of her Natural Life by equal half yearly payments to be paid
and with the payments thereof as also of the said Sum of Two Thousand pounds I
do hereby charge all my real and personal Estate whatsoever and wheresoever and
I do also give and devise and bequeath unto my said Wife all my Estate right
Title and Interest in and to Pendarves House aforesaid subject to reeparations
and do Order and direct my Executor herein named to pay the yearly rent the
same is Subject unto during my Wife's Widowhood and no longer
And I do also give and bequeath unto my said Wife the Home Estate and all the
stock therein And also my Household Goods Plate Linen and Implements of
household whatsoever at Pendarves aforesaid or also where And also all her
rings Towels and parapharnalia and also my chaise and horses and also I do give
devise and bequeath unto Eugenia STOUGHTON the sum of one hundred
guineas of Lawful British Money and to Grace REYNOLDS the sum of Ten
pounds of like money and to Robert JONES the like Sum of Ten pounds And
to Richard FFEATHERSTONE the like sum of Ten pounds
And to all my servants living at Pendarves aforesaid a Suit of Mourning each
and also all the rest and residue of my real and personal Estate whatsoever and
wheresoever and of what Nature sort or kind soever they be (My just debts the
aforesaid Legatys and ffuneral Expenses being first paid and Discharged
I give devise and bequeath unto my Loving Brother Thomas COSTER of the
said City of Bristoll ESQR his Heirs Executors Administrators and assigns for
Ever Whom I do hereby make sole Executor of this my Last Will and Testament
revoking all former wills by Me made and declaring this to be my Last In witness whereof I have to this my Last
Will and Testament contained in those Two sheets of paper affixed together to
the first whereof I have set my Hand and to this my Hand in Seal the day and

Signed sealed Published and declared by the said Testator as and for his Last
Will and Testament in the presence of us who subscribed our Names in his
Presence and at his request (the words particularly whats due from him to Me

THIS WILL was proved at London on the Eleventh Day of May In the Year of our
Lord One Thousand Seven Hundred and Thirty Six Before the Worshipful George DEE
Doctor of Laws Surrogate of the Right Worshipful John BETTESWORTH Doctor of
Laws Master Keeper or Commissary of the Prerogative Court lawfully constituted
by the Oath of Thomas COSTER Esq the brother of the deceased and sole
Executor named in the said will To Whom Administration was granted of all and
singular the Goods Chattels and Credits of the said deceased He being first
sworn well and truly to Administer the same.
