This is the last Will and Testament of me Isaac LEWIS of the Hamlet of Bitton in the Parish of Bitton in the County of Gloucester (Yeoman) being weak in body but of sound mind memory and understanding do make this my last will and Testament in form and manner following. That is to say first I commend my Soul into the Hands of almighty God hopeing through the merits of my Blessed Saviour to obtain pardon and Remifsions of all my Sins and my Body to the Earth to be decently Buried at the discretion of my Executor hereafter mentioned
Secondly as to all my worldly effects which God has been pleased to bless me with I give and bequeath the same and ever part and parcel of what nature or kind soever or where soever unto my wife Sarah LEWIS during Her natural Live in case she remains a Widow and from and after her decease ^ or marriage^ then I give the same unto my children then Living or may be Lawfully ^be^ born of her Body after my decease Share and Share alike
But my will is that in case my wife should marry then I give the Same unto my children as before mentioned only allowing my said wife an Equal part with the rest of my said children each of which ^children^ to receive their ppfsions as they arrive to the age of Twenty one years.
I do hereby request and Desire George HANEY and John NAISH Trustees of this my Will and Lastly I do nominate and appoint my wife Sarah LEWIS my whole and Sole Executor of this my last will and Testament
In withefs whereof I the said Isaac LEWIS have set my hand and seal this Twenty first day of February in the year of our Lord one Thousand Seven Hundred and Eighty Eight [Isaac LEWIS]

This will was proved on the 30th day of June 1790 Before the Rev ? Rudge Surrogate to the Worshipful Edward Cooke Hist Vicar General in Spirituals of the Right Revd Father in God Richard by divinepermifsion Lord Bishop of the Diocese of Gloucester and of his Eposcopal Consistory Official Principal lawfully constituted to Sarah LEWIS the Relic and sole Executrix of whom She having first sworn it all and truly to Administer the said Will and also to ? Inventory and rendering Account
