31 May, 1880. Alfred James MEERE late of the "Prince of Wales" Inn High Street, Selly Oak in the Parish of Northfield in the county of Worcester. Retail Brewer who died 4 April 1880 at the Prince of Wales was Proved at the Principal Registry by Eliza MEERE of the "Prince of Wales" widow and Relict the sole Executrix.

I Alfred James MEERE of the Prince of Wales Inn High Street Selly Oak in the parish of Northfield in the County of Worcester Retail Brewer hereby bequeath to my dear wife Eliza the goodwill and lease of the house called the Prince of Wales together with everything it contains for her own property and likewise whatever money i have and likewise i bequesth to my dear wife what property i have in the Oak Tree Lane Selly Oak in the parish of Northfield consisting of five houses i leave to my dear wife during her life or until she marries again in which case i bequeath my aforesaid property to my son Thomas Frederick MEERE and to my daughter Fanny Thompson MEERE to be equally divided between them and their issue and in case of my wife dying the aforesaid property to be sold and equally divided between and i name Charles EATON of Harbourne Mill Brickmaker and Walter Edwin MEERE of Selly Oak Metal Roller Trustees for the above purposes and my said wife sole Executrix of this my last will. In witness thereof i have here into set my hand this thirteenth day of October 1879.

Signed by the said Alfred James MEERE as and for his last will and testament in the presence of us who at his request and in his presance and in the presance of each other all being present together at the same have hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses
