I John MEERE of the Selly Oak Inn Selly Oak in the Parish of Northfield in the County of Worcester Licensed Victualler hereby bequeath to my dear wife Mary Ann MEERE the goodwill of the house called the Selly Oak Inn together with everything it contains for her own property and likewise whatever money I have lent on mortgage for my dear Wife at my death to become absolutely the owner of the same The remaining portion of my property namely the houses of which I am possessed I leave to my dear Wife during her life or untill she marries again in which case I bequeath the rents of the property to my Sons in equal shares on the condition they shall not borrow on the same, the same to be paid to them by the Trustees every six months in the event of either of my Sons dying his share to be paid to the wife as long as she remains a widow at the end of my Sons lives and their Wives the property to be sold each family to have their Father's share equally divided amongst them
And I name Rivers DUNNETT Beerhousekeeper Ryland Street Birmingham and Albert THOMPSON Labourer of Selly Oak (Executric) or their heirs Trustees for the above purposed And I appoint my said wife sole Executrix of this my last Will In Witness thereof I have hereinto set my hand this thirteenth day of December 1873.
Signed by the said John MEERE as and for his last Will and Testament in the presance of us who at his request in his presance and in the presance of each other all being presant together at the same time have hereunto subscribed our names as Witnesses.

Proved at Worcester the twenty sixth day of February 1879 by the oath of Mary Ann MEERE Widow the Relict the sole Executrix to whom Administration was granted.
