In the Name of God Amen, I Mary MEERE, of Dirham in the County of
Gloucester, Widow, being of sound mind and memory and considering the certainty
of death and the uncertainty of the time thereof, do make and declare this my
last Will and Testament.First, I give and bequeath unto my son William MEERE the sum of Fifty Pounds. Also, I give to him my said son, Fifty Pounds more, for the Expenses he has been in alterations and improvements at Toll Down House.
Secondly, I give and bequeath unto my son-in-law Joseph HIGNELL the sum of one hundred pounds.
Thirdly, I give and devise unto my Daughters Mary MEERE and Hester MEERE all that Messuage and Tenement with the appurtences together with the Field adjoining, which I hold by or under a Lease from William BLATHWAYT Esquire of Dirham aforesaid and which was devised to me by the Will of my late Husband William MEERE, and all my Estate, Right, Title, Term and Interest of and in the said Premises with the appurtenances together with the Field adjoining to have and to hold to them my said Daughters, their Executors, Administrators and Assigns, and tenant for their own use and Benefit, Share and Share alike.
All the rest residence and remainder of my goods, chattle, effects, monies, Securities for money and personal estate whatsoever and wheresoever (after payment of my Debts, Legacies and funeral expenses) I give, devise and bequeath unto my aforesaid Daughters Mary MEERE and Hester MEERE, to be equally divided between them, share and Shar alike.
Finally, I name, constitute and appoint my said Daughters Mary MEERE and Hester MEERE Executrixes of this my last Will and Testament, and I hereby cancell all other wills by me formerly made in writing wherof I have herunto set my hand and seal the sixteenth day of March in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and two.
Signed, sealed, published and declared by the said Mary MEERE, so and for her last Will and Testament, in presence of us, who at her request, in her presence, and in the presence of each other, have subscribed our names as witnesses thereto.
