18 July 1898. Mary Ann MEERE of Harborne Lane Selly Oak Worcestershire Widow died 18 July 1898. Probate Worcester 23 December to Rivers DUNNET gentleman (No.83 Bristol Road, Birmingham). Effects L556 7s. 1d. (Note: the actual document and her headstone say 13 July)

Written 14 April 1897
This is the last will and Testament of me Mary Ann MEERE widow of Harborne Lane Selly Oak in the County of Worcester made this 14th day of April in the year of our Lord One thousand eight hundred and ninety seven. I hereby revoke all wills by me at any time hertofore made.

I appoint Rivers DUNNETT Ironmonger of 185 Bristol Street Birmingham in the County of Warwickshire to be my Executor and I direct that all my just debts and funeral and testmentary expenses shall be paid as soon as possible after my decease.

I hereby give and bequeath unto my two Sisters Fanny CHANDLER and Caroline DUNNETT all my wearing apparel linen and jewelery.

I give the portrait of my late husband to my Grandson Thomas MEERE. I give my piano to my Granddaughter Fanny MEERE and I give devise and bequeath all my real and personal estate and everything I am or may be possessed of and may Will (not hereinbefore otherwise disposed of) to my said Executor Rivers DUNNETT in trust for the following purposes.

First To invest the sum of twenty five pounds in any way my Executor like so that it pays not less than two and a half per cent per annum the said sum of Twenty five pounds with the interest to be paid to my Grandson Frank George MEERE on his reaching the age of twenty one years. Should the said Frank George MEERE die before reaching this age then his funeral expenses shall be paid out of the said money and the remainder equally divided between all my Grandchildren in the way afterwards described. Secondly to pay to my Son in law Henry James HUMPHRRIES the sum of Fifty pounds. In the event of his dying before me the said sum of Fifty pounds shall be equally divided between all my grandchildren in the way afterwards.

Signed by the said Testat as and for her last Will and Testament in presence of us who at her request in her presence and in the presence of each other have hereintu subscribed our names as witnesses

On the twenty third day of December 1898 Probate of this Will was granted at Worcester to Rivers DUNNETT the sole Executor.
