In the name of God Amen I John NAISH of the Hamlet of Bitton in the County of Gloucester BlackSmith being Week in body but of a Sound Disposing mind Memory and understanding Do this Thirtieth day of January in the year of our Lord one Thousand Seven Hundred and Eighty Six make publish and Declare this my last Will and Testament as Followeth that is to say

First and principally I Recommend my Soul to Almighty god hopeing to be Saved through the merits of Our Blefsed Saviour Jesus Christ and my body to be Decently Buryed as my Executors hereinafter named Shall see fit and Conenient

Item I give and Devise to my son John NAISH his Execor Administrator or afsigns all that my piece of ground called Bartons Situate in the Hamlet of Bitton aforesaid, also I give to my Daughter Sarah LEWIS her executors Administrators and afsigns all that my Cottage House Called Mount Pleasante Stuate in the said Hamlet of Bitton aforesaid with all and Every the appurtanaences thereunto belonging Also I give to my Daughter Mary Hanny all that my Dwelling house at Upton in the said Hamlet of Bitton with the Orchard garden and premises thereunto belonging now in the pofsefsion of James BUTLER Also one piece pr patch of ground being part of HARDINGs living adjoining th a ground called Swallowells? Lying on the east and adjoining to the Gound called Bartons on the west now in the pofsefsion of Isaac LEWIS for her natural live Also I give to my Daughter Sarah LEWIS and to my daughter Mary HANNY Thirty Ginnes Each to be theirs by my Executor hereinafter named in one month next after my Decease.

Also I give to my Ten grandchildren one ginne each? To be paid them in one month next aftr my Decease as aforesaid all the rest and residue y household goods Shop Tools and Chattles of every kind whatsoever that may or shall belong to me at the time of my decease My Legacies Just Debts and Funeral Expenses Being first paid and Discharged I give to my son John NAISH whom I make sole executor of this my last will and Testament

Signed Sealed published and declared by the said Testator as and for his last Will and Testament in the presence of us and by us attested in his presence and at his request: John Camplin WRIGHT; Tho PROCTOR

This will was proved on the 17th day of October 1787 Before the Reverend E Nichols Surrogate to the Worshipful Edward Cooke Master of Arts Vicar General in Spirituals of the Right Referend Father in God Samuel by Devine Permifsion Lord Bishop of the Diocese of Gloucester and of his [?] Consistory official principal; lawfully constituted by John NAISH the Sole Executor to whom  he having first Sworn well and faithfully to Administer the said Will & to Exhibit an Inventory and ?enduram Account
