This is the last will and testament of me Charles OLDS of no. 29 Stall Street, Bath made this twenty fifth day of January one thousand eight hundred and eighty seven. I hereby revoke all wills by me at anytime hereto fore made. I appoint my dear wife Charlotte OLDS and my son William Greenslade OLDS to be my executrix and executor jointly. I hereby give and bequeath unto my wife Charlotte OLDS my part of the stock in trade at 29, Stall Street consisting of clocks and watches and my interest in that part of the business with full power to sell or otherwise dispose of the same.

Note: my son William Greenslade OLDS is already in possession of the remaining part of the stock consisting of jewellery, silver and electro plated goods, rings, optical goods, the regulator and all tools therein.

I give and bequeath to my wife Charlotte OLDS, my lifehold house no.2 Avon Street also my freehold houses nos. 18 and 20 Wellington Place all in this city for her to let sell or otherwise dispose of subject to the consent of our three children or the survivors of them; out of the foregoing I direct my wife Charlotte OLDS to pay all my just debts, funeral and testamentary expenses

and to her sister Miss Maria RIDLER now lodging at no. 11 Bradenham Place, Penarth, Cardiff the sum of four pounds, five shillings quarterly on the 19th day of January April July and October in each year so long as the said Miss Maria RIDLER shall live. In the case of my wife's decease before the said Miss Maria RIDLER I direct my wife's heirs executors administrators or assigns to continue the said payment so long as the said Miss Maria RIDLER shall live.

To my son William Greenslade OLDS I give and bequeath my interest in the lease of the said premises no. 29 Stall Street now held by us jointly for his sole use and benefit to use sell or otherwise dispose of as he may see fit. Any residue or anything I may become possessed of I give and bequeath unto my wife Charlotte OLDS for her absolute use and benefit.

Charles OLDS signed by the said testator as and for his last will and testament in the presence of us who at his request in his presence and in the presence of each other have hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses.

Proved at Bristol the twenty third day of April 1888 by the oaths of Charlotte OLDS widow, the relict of the deceased and William Greenslade OLDS son of the deceased the executors to whom administration was granted.

The testator Charles OLDS was late of no. 29 Stall Street in the City of Bath, watchmaker and died on the 29th day of March at no. 29 Stall Street aforesaid.
