This is the last will and Testament of me Elizabeth THOMPSON of Upton in the Parish of Bitton in the County of Gloucester Widow.
I give and bequeath to my dauter Patience CARTER one hundred Pounds, one oak flap Table one small looking glafs, Two candle sticks, one oak Tea Table One Spice Mortar Six oak chairs one brafs Feuder and one warming Pan.
I give and bequeath to my daughter Sarah THOMPSON one hundred Pounds one bed and bed stead with blue curtains one small looking glafs one spice mortar one milpuff bed and bolster One square mahogany Table ond Brafs Marusing Pan, and Two Brafs candlesticks.
I give and bequeath to my daughter in law Nancy THOMPSON the sum of nineteen Guineas. I give and bequeath to each of the eight children of my daughter in Law Nancy THOMPSON namely James, Rachel, William, Timothy, Coster, Hannah, Virtue and Lawson the sum of Ten Pounds.
I give and bequeath to my grandson George Bush Thirty Pounds. I give and bequeath to my grandson William NAISH Nineteen Guineas. I give and bequeath to my Granddaughter Virtue Harris Ten Pounds. I give and bequeath to my grandson William THOMPSON son of Coster THOMPSON one silver pint cup. I give and bequeath my Bed clother and Table Linen to my son Coster THOMPSON.
All the rest residue and remainder of my goods and chattels monies personal Estate and effects whatsoever I give devise and bequeath unto my son Coster THOMPSON to and for his own use and profit And I declare it to be my will and mind that in case of y Son Coster THOMPSON shall depart this life before me that the legacy and residuary Estate so devised to him shall not lapse but go to his children and be equally divided between them share and share alike. And I do declare it to be my will and mind that the receipt of the mother of the said children of my said son Coster THOMPSON or their respective receipts for the same notwithstanding their respective minorities shall be good and effectual discharged for the same. And I do hereby revoke all former and other Wills by me at any time heretofore made and do declare this only to be my last will and Testament
And I nominate and appoint my son Coster THOMPSON and my son in Law John CAPLE Executors of this my last will and testament In witnefs whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this seventh day of april in the year of our Lord One thousand eight hundred and twenty two.
