This is a fairly small number of wills for such a large family.
William is the earliest found for any of the lines. He was eventually proved to be of Newland, GLS and the younger brother of 1686 John who m. Anne COSTER.
Elizabeth (nee SUMPTION) is the widow of 1742 William, a grandson of Newland William, via daughter Elizabeth. We believe, but cannot yet prove, that her husband, 1722 James, is a s/o 1686 John (so, her first cousin). Confused?
Coster and Sumption are s/o Elizabeth. Sumption's wife (and 1st cousin) is the sister of John.
Sumption's sons are James and Timothy; Edmund a s/o James.
