By the permission of Almighty God. I Sumption THOMPSON of the parish of Bitton in the County of Gloucester, late Copper smith, being in a weak State of body but of sound and disposing mind memory and understanding Do this twenty sixth day of February in the year of our Lord one Thousand eight hundred and twenty five make publish and declare this my last will and Testament in manner following, That is to say,
I give and bewueath unto my dear wife Nancy THOMPSON all my Household Goods monies and other my personal estate to and for her absolute use benefit and disposal. And I give and devise unto my said wife, for and during her life, all my Messuages Mills Lands and real estates whatsoever and wheresoever And from and after her decease
Then as to five undivided eighty parts or shares of all my real estates the whole being considered as if divided into eight equal parts or shares, I give and devise the same five eighth parts unto and to the use of my five sones, James THOMPSON, William Sumption THOMPSON, Timothy THOMPSON, Coster THOMPSON, and Lawson THOMPSON, equally between them as tenants in common and their respective heirs and assigns forever. But if either or any of my said Sons shall happen to die under the age of twenty one years and without leaving lawful issue Then as to the share or shares of such of them so dying I give the same to all my surviving children equally between them and their respective heirs and assigns forever as tenants in common.
And as to one other eighth part or share of my real estates, from and after my said wife's decease, I give the same to my said son James THOMPSON and his Heirs upon trust to pay the rents issues and profits thereof unto or permit the same to be received by my daughter Rachel DORE for and during her life for her sole and separate use and benefit, distinct and apart from every husband and not subject or liable to his power control debts or engagement. And from and after her decease to the use of all and every her child and children lawfully begotton or to be begotten equally between them as tenants in common and their respective heirs and assigns forever And if either or any of such children shall happen to die under the age of twenty one years and without leaving lawful issue Then as to the share or shares of such of them so dying To the use of the survivors or survivor of them, equally between them if more than one, and their respective heirs and assigns forever. But if there shall be no child of my said daughter that shall live to attain the age of twenty one years or leave lawful issue Then as to the said last mentioned eighth part of share To the use of all my surviving children their heirs and assigns forever as tenants in common

And as to the remaining eighth part or share of my real estates, from and after the decease of my said wife, I give the same to my said Son James THOMPSON and his heirs, upon trust to pay the rents and profits thereof unto, or permit the same to be received by my daughter Virtue THOMPSON, for and during her life, for her sole and separate use and benefit, distinct and apart from every husband and not subject or liable to his power controul debts or engatements, And from and after her decease To the use of all and every her child and children lawfully to be begotten equally between them as tenants in common and their respective heirs and assigns forever, And if either or any of such children shall happen to die under the age of twenty one years and without leaving lawful issue Than as to the share or shares of such of them so dying To the use of the survivors or survivor of them, equally between them if more than one, and their respective heirs and assigns forever, But if there shall be no child of my said daughter Virtue THOMPSON that shall live to attain the age of twenty one years or leave lawful issue Then as to the said last mentioned eighth part of share To the use of all my surviving children their heirs and assigns forever as tenants in common.
Provided always that if at the time of the decease of my said wife, either or any of my children shall be under the age of twenty one years then I will and direct that the rents and profits of the share or shares of such minor or minors shall be received by my said Son James THOMPSON and his heirs and paid and applied for the maintenance and breeding up of such minor or minors during his her or their minority or respective minorities
And I do hereby nominate constitute and appoint my said wife to be sole Executrix of this my Will. And I do hereby revoke and make void all former wills by me made and declare this only to be my last. In Witness whereof I have to this my last will and Testament contained in four sheets of paper affixed together, set my hand and seal, to wit, my hand to each of the three first sheets and my hand and seal to this fourth and last sheet and my seal at the top of the first sheet, where all the said sheets are affixed together. The day and year first before written./.

Signed sealed published and declared by the said Testator Sumption THOMPSON as and for his last Will and Testament in the presence of us who in his presence, at his request, and in the presence of each other have subscribed our names as witnesses thereto the words "of all" my real estate being first duly interlined on the first sheet.
