In the name of God Amen I William THOMPSON of Swinford in the parish of Bitton in the County of Gloucester Yeoman being sick and weak in Body but (Possessed?) of sound and disposing mind memory and understanding do make this my last will and Testament as follows
I give to my son John THOMPSON my best suit of cloths my Eight Day clock my silver watch my silver (brushes?) and my Buckskin (Brooces?)
To my son in Law James THOMPSON I give my Second best uit of Cloaths
To my son in Law John RUFSULL I give my Surtoot? Coat and my gest Grey Coat
I give the ??? of all the rest of my lathe? And household goods unto my beloved wife Mary THOMPSON during the Term of her natural life and in .......
I give the best of my Silver cups to my son John and the other Silver cup to my daughter Elizabeth. Two of my Silver spoons to my daughter Elizabeth and Three of my Silver spoons to my son Joh, also to my daughter Elizabeth my Second best Bed and my best Oaken Table and all the rest of my said ........ and Household goods afty my said Wife ....... I give to my said son John his ..... Escor.? Admin and ...... and so ... that a ... may be taken thereof and signed by my said wife as soon as conviently? May be after my Dawasa? Also I give to my said Son John the Sum of Fifty Pounds and to my said Daughter Elizabeth the like sum of Fifty Pounds both which Logacros? I wile? Shall be paid in one month after my Demise
And as to all the rest of my Estate whatsoever I give devise and bequesath the same unto my said Wife Mary THOMPSON whom I make sole Executrix of this my last will and testament and will that all my just debts and Funeral Expenses with the charges of proving this my Will shall be paid by my said Executrix out of my said Residuary Estate and hereby revoking all former Wills I do ........ this to be my last will and testament in Witnefs whereof I ....... to this my last Will and Testament of my hand and Seal this Sixth day of December in the Year of our Lord one Thousand Seven Hundred and Fifty Three.

And faithfully to Administor to the said Will and also th Exhibit an Inventory V Rendor an Account And soforth

further documented via Bigland MIs of St. Marys, Bitton.
William named in the 1739 will of Thomas COSTER, as was older brother John and
his nephew John, of Bye Mill.
