This is the last will and testament of me Martha WILLMOTT of No.14 Broad Weir in the city of Bristol spinster I give and bequeath unto my niece Martha WILLMOTT my three shares in the Bristol Coal Gas concern and my household furniture plate linen and my wearing apparel to and for her own absolute property
Also I give and bequeath all other my property monies securities for money and all other my estate and effects whatsoever and wheresoever after payment of my just debts and funeral and testamentary expenses unto my nephews and nieces John BENWELL WILLMOTT, Sarah the wife of Francis OSMOND, Robert WILLMOTT, Rebecca WILLMOTT, Martha WILLMOTT, and Mary Bishop WILLMOTT to be divided equally between them share and share alike as or in the nature of tenants in common And I hereby nominate and appoint my cousin Isaac SELFE sole executor of this my will
In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand this twenty fifth day of the fifth month commonly called May one thousand eight hundred and thirty nine
Signed by the said Martha WILLMOTT the testatrix in the presence of us present at the same time in her presence at her request and in the presence of each other have hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses

On the tenth day of October Isaac SELFE the sole executor in this will named was duly affirmed to the truth and due performance thereof as usual that all and singular the personal estate and effects of the said deceased do not amount in value to the sum of £1000 and that the testatrix died on or about the twenty fifth day of June 1839.
Before me Henry GREEN surrogate
Proved at Bristol the tenth day of October 1839 before the Revd. Henry GREEN clerk A.M. surrogate by the affirmation of Isaac SELFE the sole executor to whom adminstration was granted he having been first affirmed duly to administer.
In the Episcopal Consistory Court of Bristol
Appeared personally Samuel Hill SERGEANT of Congresbury in the county of Somerset baker and being one of the people called Quakers upon his solemn affirmation said that he was one of the subscribing witnesses to the last will and testament of Maryha WILLMOTT late of No. 14 Broad Weir in the city of Bristol and diocese of Gloucester and Bristol spinster deceased which will bears date the twenty fifth day of May one thousand eight hundred and thirty nine on which day the said testatrix executed her said will in the presence of Joseph LANGDON of Congresbury aforesaid baker and him this affirmant
And he further said that the words "and my household furniture plate linen etc" written between the fourth and fifth lines of the said will and the word "Bishop" written between the eleventh and twelth lines of the said will were interlined therein by this affirmant previous to the execution thereof by the said Martha WILLMOTT as expressed by the memorandum in the margin of the said will signed by this affirmant and Joseph LANGDON the other subscribing witness.
