In the name of God Amen I Charles WILMOTT of the City of Bristol Victualler being sick in body but of perfect and understanding mind and memory thanks be given to Almighty God for the same and calling to mind the mortality of my body knowing that it is appointed for all men once to die do make and ordain this my last will and testament in manner and form following
First and principal I commend my soul to Almighty God that gave it hoping to have pardon of my sins through the alone merit of Jesus Christ my only Saviour and Redeemer and my body I commend to the earth to be buried in a Christian like manner and at the discretion of my executrix hereinafter named and as touching such wordly estate as it hath pleased God to bless me with in this life I do give devise and dispose of the same in manner and form following
Item I do give and bequeath unto my sister Sarah and to my sister Deborah and to my sister Martha WILMOTT one shilling each lawful money of Great Britain and no more and all the rest and residue of my estate whether money household goods debts linen woollen rings plate and all other my estate both real and personal I wholly give devise and bequeath same unto my beloved wife Mary WILMOTT whom I do make and ordain my sole executrix of this my last will and testament and do hereby revoke all former and other wills whatsoever by me at any time before made and do declare this to be my last will and testament in witness whereof I have herewith set my name and seal this twenty forth day of November one thousand seven hundred and twenty one.
